Bernard P€RI€R Initial Consulting in Payment Systems took place at SG2 with the creation of the CIRRA a regional Interbank Switch Payment System. In charge of the development of the newly created Consulting Department for Banks at SLIGOS, he became an acute observer of the French National Interbank Card Authorization and Clearing system. Head of the Banking Department at Philips, he conducted the first live test of the Smart Card for Payment applications - IPSO in Caen (F). The test on which French Banks based their strategy of adopting the Smart Card for VISA and MASTERCARD Cards issued in France.
